I Consigli della Nonna

Grandma's advice

Hello, I would like to talk to you today of the beauty tricks of grandmothers, those who seem a bit vintage, but they are in my opinion always valid and give unexpected results.

If I excavate in my memory, I remember that, in addition to a massive use of rose water (which has not randomly entered the cleansing line to moi le plaisir!) grandma recommended me to always rinse my face with fresh water in the morning... and it's true! In addition to "waking up" actually stimulates the microcirculation and makes the complexion fresh and healthy, effect "bonne mine".

She also used fresh water to rinse her hair, adding it to a couple of spoons of vinegar, guaranteed brightness! She recommended olive oil for hair wraps and for the care of dry lips, but on the lips I would like to intervene too and give you the recipe of a balm to prepare at home, easy: just rocks in a water bath a bit of beeswax, Add a few teaspoons of olive oil tea and finish with a few drops of Mandarin essential oil; it can be stored in a jar and is great for caring for and nourishing chapped lips.

Then there is the lemon, to rub on your hands to clear stains, and to use mixed with olive oil for an ultra-moisturizing wrap, fantastic if held all night protecting your hands with cotton gloves. Very important! The lemon should be used in the evening, do not expose yourself to the sun with the skin impregnated with lemon juice!

And now let’s talk about chamomile, a good thing for red eyes: even today, if I happen to spend too much time in front of the computer, I make an eye pack with two cotton pads soaked in cold chamomile infusion, I relax for ten, fifteen minutes et voilà, as new!

Ready to dive into a nice warm bath in loose rice starch, soothing and softening... About the rice starch: when I was little and lived doing stunts and falling over, my grandmother applied a pack of starch moistened with water, it was and is an excellent remedy to immediately reabsorb hematomas! And now dear friends I greet you with a recommendation from "grandmother": sleep at least 6/8 hours per night, eat lots of fruits and vegetables, drink water and laugh as much as possible! Laughter is the true secret of youth!
