DESCRIPTION

Exfoliating facial treatment based on Fruit Acids (Alpha-Hydroxy Acids AHA). With an illuminating effect, it activates cell turnover, gives uniformity and elasticity to your skin. The product removes dead cells from the stratum corneum and, with them, impurities and imperfections of the epidermis.

What is Enzyme Exfoliation?

Enzyme Exfoliation uses enzymes instead of the granules used for mechanical exfoliation. AHA enzymes stimulate the breakdown of keratin in the upper layers of the skin, promoting the removal of dead cells.

What are Enzymes?

Enzymes are substances of a protein nature that act as catalysts, that is, they are able to promote or accelerate certain reactions. Those used for exfoliation, once applied, effectively and rapidly remove dead cells and impurities.

Those found in enzymatic exfoliants are usually found in nature, enzymes that are showing great promise in reducing the appearance of scars.

How does Enzyme Exfoliation work?

Enzymes literally "digest" dead skin on the face, giving our face a bright, fresh look. This is why enzymatic exfoliation is generally considered gentler than mechanical or chemical exfoliation.

Using our Enzyme Mask helps remove “dead” skin, increasing the brightness of the complexion. By removing dead cells, the skin will have new life, you will find the brightness that remained hidden under the dry layers!

For which skin types?

Because they are so gentle, enzymes can be tolerated by all skin types.

Another reason to use enzymes is that they are safe skin care products for pregnancy: not all anti-aging products, such as retinol, are safe to use during pregnancy.

More information on the ingredients

FRUIT ACIDS (Alpha-Hydroxy Acids AHA)

  • Exfoliants
  • Illuminating
  • Uniforms

AHAs work breaking gently the intercellular “glue” that holds dead skin cells together. When they melt these bonds, the dead cells they detach themselves, thus bringing to light a new skin, more uniform and with less stains. Thanks to this mechanism of action, they promote:

  • the elimination from the cells of the epidermis and dermis damaged;
  • The cell replacement and skin renewal;
  • an anti-aging action, since they can determine a reduction of the blemishes of time;
  • the reduction of any scars.

TARTARIC ACID

  • Anti-Age
  • Exfoliating
  • Illuminating
  • Lightening

In the cosmetic field, it is used for its action anti-aging and exfoliating. Formulations that include Tartaric Acid give brightness and a lightening effect to the skin, with an exfoliating action determined to stimulate the cellular renewal and the production of elastin and collagen. Together with others, Tartaric Acid is one of the most important Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, the so-called Fruit Acids. Tartaric Acid is the undisputed protagonist of exfoliating peels and depigmenting creams.

MALIC ACID

  • Balances skin's pH levels
  • Exfoliating
  • Anti-Age
  • Anti Stain
  • Anti Wrinkle

Malic Acid is an organic acid naturally present in many plants, it is found in high quantities in apples, grapes and strawberries. It is part of the so-called Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, also known as Fruit Acids (AHA). Malic Acid is used in cosmetics for balance pH levels or as exfoliating agent, with an anti-aging and stain-proof action, and is also known for its effect minimizing of wrinkles. It carries out a delicate and gradual exfoliating action, for this reason it can be easily tolerated also from more sensitive skin.

GLYCOLIC ACID

  • Illuminating
  • Uniforming
  • Exfoliating
  • Moisturizing

Glycolic Acid is present in nature, in sugar cane, but it is more effective if synthesized in the laboratory, where its efficacy and concentration are optimized to favor its use in skincare. Using a face exfoliating with Glycolic Acid will help you get a brighter skin and a more uniform tone; works by helping to remove the accumulated dead cells on the surface of the skin. This type of exfoliation contrasts numerous problems of the skin, including the damage caused by the sun, uneven tone, flaky and irregular skin, the thin lines and wrinkles. Studies have shown that Glycolic Acid increases significantly the level of skin hydration.
